Customer Rewards 1.0.12 Release Notes

Customer Rewards 1.0.12 contains fixes and enhancements. It is recommended that you upgrade as soon as possible.



  1. The amount of points noted on the product page is based on the product price which may be inclusive of excluding tax. When points are allocated they are based on the tax exclusive price. This could mislead customers into expecting more rewards than they could actually earn if the product is configured as tax inclusive. This has been corrected in this release. 
  2. Capped the maximum days to 9999 in module configuration. Values over this number are excessive and can break things.


  1. Spent points are now accounted for when an order has a pending status, previously points only became spent if the order was in processing or completed status, IE paid for. This closes a loophole that can cause some customers to re-spend the same points.
  2. The install guide has been updated with some additional steps
  3. Modified some of the hooks used by the module


Upgrade Instructions

  1. Delete the customer_rewards directory from your stores modules/plugins/ directory and replace it with the files found in the downloadable zip file.
  2. Navigate to the module from the store admin area and validate that your license key is Valid
  3. Important: Navigate to Manage Hooks from the store admin area, click on Customer Rewards and press SAVE
  4. Important:Validate the steps noted in the install guide, failure to do so may result in the module not working correctly.
